As a key leader in complex commercial development transactions, she shares profit and loss (P&L) responsibility and firm risk management with her partners.
Linda鈥檚 expertise encompasses financial analysis and deal structuring, but her specialty is leadership鈥攕olving problems and building consensus among dissimilar people and competing interests to bring projects across the finish line. She influences outcomes through communication, relationship building, goal-setting, and mutually beneficial solutions.
Prior to joining General Capital in 2015, Linda was a Managing Director at Stark Investments, a multibillion-dollar, global, multistrategy hedge fund. As a manager of various real estate and private equity investments, she served on the boards and audit committees of several portfolio companies. Noteworthy among them was the restructuring of Health Payment Systems, a healthcare technology company, where she served as interim Board Chair, led the Audit Committee, served on the Compensation Committee, and helped the company transition through a change-in-control transaction with a private equity company. Her first role at Stark Investments was Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, Linda helped guide the firm鈥檚 growth from under $1B in assets to over $14B. She established foreign offices, developed an expatriate program, and built departments for human resources, legal/compliance, and investor relations. Linda honed her credit skills in the Private Placement Investment Department at Northwestern Mutual (now 鈥淣orthwestern Mutual Capital鈥).
Linda currently serves on the board of Ixonia Bank, where she is a member of the Audit and ALCO Committees. She is also a Trustee of the Medical College of Wisconsin where she Chairs the Finance Committee. Linda invested 9 years of board service, including the Executive Committee, at United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, where she chaired the Community Impact Committee and continues to serve on the Audit Committee. During 2022, Linda co-chaired the United Way Annual Campaign which exceeded the $57mm goal by over $2mm. She served as Co-Chair of the Greater Milwaukee Committee Downtown Development Task Force from 2015-2019. Recently, Linda was named as the first Executive in Residence for 糖心传媒鈥檚 College of Business Administration鈥檚 Center for Real Estate. Overall, Linda has served on more than a dozen for-profit and nonprofit boards, and numerous audit and finance committees.
In 2019, Linda was inducted into the Milwaukee Business Journal鈥檚 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame and selected to the Business Journals鈥 national list of 100 influential commercial real estate executives. She has received honors for mentorship and women鈥檚 leadership from several organizations in the Milwaukee area.
Linda graduated first in her class from both of her academic degree programs, including an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and a BBA in Accounting from the business school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Linda also earned her Real Estate Certification from the UW-Madison Executive Education Program.
