Funding Information Collection

Included in Marquette's Funding Information Center are most publications of  in New York. Also available are a wide selection of books, directories, and periodicals. The major databases available for use at the Center include:

  • Foundations in Wisconsin Online (Please note: Foundations in Wisconsin Online will cease December 31, 2023.)
A comprehensive directory of private foundations in the state of Wisconsin.

  • Foundation Directory Online Professional
A comprehensive directory of all private foundations in the country. Also includes some major corporate giving programs and a grants index.

  • Foundation Grants to Individuals Online
Describes the foundations that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grant seekers.

The collection focuses on private foundations, philanthropy, fundraising, grantsmanship, letter and proposal writing, volunteerism, nonprofit organization and management, and corporate giving programs. The Center also houses Internal Revenue Service returns (990 PF's) for Wisconsin foundations. The tax returns from 1971 to 1997 are available on microfiche. 1998 and continuing are available electronically. Tax returns for private foundations located in other states can be accessed via   or r.

The Funding Information Center Collection is free and open to the public. No materials circulate from the collection.

Printing and  photocopying requires the purchase of a Courtesy Card at the Library Services Desk; a minimum purchase of $15.00 is required.  Photocopies and print jobs are $0.07 per page.
