Student Organization Awards
Each year student organizations are recognized for their contributions to the Marquette Community.
Student Organization Member of the Year
The Student Organization Member of the Year award is given 1-2 students who exemplify commitment to their organizations. The recipients will have exhibited growth and development as a leader, have contributed to making their organization more prominent on campus, or have been involved in organizational operations such as event planning.
Officer of the Year
The Officer of the Year award will be given to 1-2 students who have dedicated themselves to their organizations. This individual will have gone out of their way and beyond their positional officer duties to support the success of the organization and its members.
Advisor of the Year Award 
Advisor of the Year Award goes to an advisor who has invested considerable time and resources into supporting an organization. This person is seen as a mentor, a teacher, and overall ally for the organization.
Program or Event of the Year 
This award will be given to an organization for an event/program that had a considerable impact on the campus community. The Event (or series of events) could have been a service/community engagement event, a social program, or a program that promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion. Criteria for this award are attendance, creativity, how well the event was promoted, and positive feedback from event/program participants.
New Student Organization of the Year
This award will be given to an exemplary organization that has gone through the process of becoming a registered student organization within the past three semesters. The organization should have become significantly involved in the Marquette Community from the time they were recognized to present. This involvement may include sponsoring events/activities on their own or participating in campus activities as a student organization. The organization should have demonstrated the desire and potential to improve, grow, and achieve.
Rising Leader Award:
This award goes to an individual who prior to this academic year has not held a leadership role in a student organization. Within their term they contributed to the growth of the organization in some capacity; have demonstrated effectiveness, discipline, and self-efficacy as an officer; and have shown potential to take on more leadership moving forward.
Being the Difference Award:
The Being the Difference Award goes to an organization member who has been the difference in the Marquette Community. This person has exemplified servant leadership through their student organization involvement and work.
The Reverend Robert A. Wild, S.J. Spirit of Marquette Award: 
The Reverend Robert A. Wild, S.J. Spirit of Marquette Award was established in 1992 to honor recognized student organizations for carrying out the Mission of the University through contributions to the Marquette and Milwaukee communities. Up to three awards are given annually and are accompanied by a monetary gift to support the future activities of the organization. 
The Reverend Robert A. Wild, S.J. Spirit of Marquette Award is given to organizations that have most exemplified the University mission through their programs and services. Specific contributions through fostering personal and professional excellence, forming ethical and informed leaders, developing men and women dedicated to the service of others, and/or promoting a life of faith are considered.
