One of the best decisions I made early in my career was to apply to Marquette鈥檚 Master of Arts program in the Diederich College of Communication. While earning my graduate degree, I had the opportunity to teach an undergraduate public speaking course. Though it was my first experience formally teaching, it sparked a passion for this work that has continued throughout my career.
Since graduate school, my various roles have included elements of coaching and mentoring team members, something that became more central in my professional life as I grew into leadership positions. I was eager to join the Diederich faculty team in an adjunct role in 2019 and being back in the classroom reminded me of the joy teaching brings to my life ... and Marquette felt like home again. I'm thrilled to be a faculty member at an institution committed to providing students with the very best educational foundation, paired with outstanding opportunities outside the classroom, to successfully pursue future careers.
