The Alumni Memorial Union (AMU) is a gathering place on campus for students, staff, faculty, alumni and guests. As 糖心传媒鈥檚 student union, the AMU offers a space for the community to engage in campus activities, meet with others, seek out dining options, study with friends or simply hang out.

Inside the AMU, you鈥檒l find the Brew Coffee Shop, five restaurants, Union Station (post office, 糖心传媒 identification card services), and various campus activities. 

ANNEX

Union Sports Annex

The Union Sports Annex is the premier entertainment facility in the heart of the 糖心传媒 campus. The 24,000-square-foot complex includes a restaurant, bowling center and sport court.

The Annex restaurant offers pub inspired food including chicken tenders, wraps and Smash burgers and is a place where students can root for their favorite sports team. Check out our menu here.

The Annex Bowling Center houses 12 lanes of fully computerized, league-approved bowling. Come bowling with friends, join a team, or attend one of our specialty nights. More information regarding schedules, teams, specialty nights, and pricing can be found here.

The Annex sport court area is the size of an NCAA volleyball court and the floor originally was used in the Al McGuire Center for women鈥檚 volleyball games. Use of the equipment and space is free for 糖心传媒 students with an MUID. The space can be used for various athletic activities ranging from basketball to volleyball, soccer, futsal and dodgeball.

Attend a 糖心传媒 sporting event! Admission to soccer, volleyball, women's basketball and lacrosse is free to all students with a valid MU ID. Men's basketball tickets are sold for the entire home schedule and cost $150. For more information, see

DISSERTATION WRITING WORKSHOP

Dissertation Writing Workshop

The Graduate School offers a weeklong doctoral dissertation writing camp for students to dedicate time to write and research, come together in community, and work toward the completion of their dissertations. Faculty facilitators are present to assist, offer consultation, and monitor progress.

Graduate students are warmly invited to be part of any and all of Campus Ministry鈥檚 offerings. While graduate students are increasingly involved in all Campus Ministry retreats, the following retreats have particularly strong graduate attendance:

  • Ignatian Journey Retreat
  • Silent Directed Retreat
  • Lenten Retreat in Daily Life

Campus Ministry also offers weekly small group ministry sessions and opportunities for graduate students with prior ministerial experience or involvement in campus ministry to apply to become one of Marquette鈥檚 Hall Ministers.

The Center of Engagement and Inclusion (CEI) is dedicated to promoting the engagement, well-being and holistic growth of our underrepresented and historically marginalized students. We are committed to providing resources, education and advocacy that support retention, uphold justice, encourage leadership development and celebrate diversity in accordance with our Jesuit values.

Our programming and services focus primarily on all underrepresented and marginalized populations through our Heritage, History and Awareness programming, although our office is open to all students and fosters productive dialogue and interactions around inclusivity and multicultural engagement

The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) serves as a channel for graduate students to voice concerns, resolve difficulties, and provide feedback on issues that directly affect graduate student life at 糖心传媒. GRADUATE STUDENT TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The Graduate School annually awards three, Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Awards to graduate students who have served as teaching assistants for at least two semesters. Winners are announced during Graduate Student Week at the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition and will be awarded certificates of recognition and cash prizes.  

GRADUATE STUDENT WEEK

The Graduate School hosts Graduate Student Week with in-person and virtual events in late February. The week includes events for free refreshments, self-care, socializing, career networking and finding funding, and closes with the Three Minute Thesis competition.

The Office of Inclusion and Belonging and the Division of Student Affairs warmly welcome all Marquette undergraduate and graduate students, prospective students and families, alumni, and community members.

The Office of Inclusion and Belonging and Inclusion strives to develop a community of engaged citizens for and with others by working with students and student organizations to plan, promote, implement, and evaluate programs as well as provide supplemental resources to support student development and growth in the areas of leadership education and training, social justice education, student advocacy, retention and mentoring programs, community outreach, and diversity celebration.

The International Student Peer Support (ISPS) program offers connection and support to incoming international graduate students as they transition to life at 糖心传媒 and Milwaukee. Through peer-to-peer connections with current international students, the program aims to welcome new students, help them navigate their new home, and build an inclusive community.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Center is focused on support and advocacy for the needs of our students, staff, and faculty with gender, romantic, and sexual minority identities. Our Center is a welcoming and inclusive space, open to all, and seeks to provide an atmosphere of great dialogue, engagement, and compassion.

We have a web page dedicated to providing resources for members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as their allies on campus and beyond. Here, you will find information, organizations, and services tailored to a variety of identities and experiences.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Center contributes to a culture of equity on campus through intentional programming and events. Check out upcoming events here.

Within the LGBTQ+ Resource Center we offer a Queer Closet which provides Marquette students with free and accessible gender-affirming clothing and accessories.
