The Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) was created to advance the university鈥檚 strategic initiatives around research and innovation, including its goal to double research funding, and to provide an infrastructure that supports idea generation, entrepreneurship and commercialization across campus.

Office of Research Compliance
The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) provides support for institutional committees and Marquette faculty, staff and students for research involving human subjects, animal subjects, radioisotope use and research with recombinant DNA (rNDA). The Office of Research Compliance assists researchers with navigating research regulations, provides educational programming and supports collaboration with other research institutions

Office of Economic Engagement and Partnerships
The Offices of Community Engagement and Corporate Engagement and Partnerships (CEEP) recently united under the Office of Economic Engagement. The Office of Economic Engagement works to develop off-campus collaborations and partnerships for community impact.

Office of the General Counsel
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) reviews and prepares a wide variety of contracts and provides counsel on patent, copyright and trademark matters affecting the University. It works closely with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs on matters involving technology transfer.

University Advancement
University Advancement's Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) team fosters philanthropic relationships between the university and private organizations and foundations to align and advance shared missions around research, teaching and other focused impact areas. Corporate and Foundation Relations is a resource for corporations and foundations in Milwaukee and beyond.
Grant Accounting Office
Grant Accounting provides fiscal support for all external grant and/or contract funded projects. The Grant Accounting Office ensures that grant-funded projects are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Office of Management and Budget circulars, Marquette policies and procedures, and all other terms and conditions that may govern the awards.
