Marketing serves as the primary stewards of the university brand, leading management of the creative platform that defines how we represent Marquette visually and verbally across our storytelling platforms. In addition, Marketing supports university partners in the creation of materials and campaigns, particularly for enrollment and recruitment initiatives and university branding efforts.
Specific functions include creative direction and strategy, marketing messaging and copywriting, advertising planning and management, digital design and development, brand and recruitment video production, marketing photography, editorial feature writing and editing, and the publishing of Marquette Magazine.
Communication leads strategic messaging for the university and proactively shares important stories through media relations, , campus news, social media channels, and the Marquette News Center.
In addition, Communication manages an internal beat system for coordinating messaging and supporting efforts among Marquette’s colleges, schools, and administrative units. Communication also supports ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Police Department communication and safety alert processes as well as university crisis planning and emergency procedures.
