Community members & Marquette alumni
Marquette alumni include writers of all kinds. Some alumni have writing-forward careers as podcasters, journalists, screenwriters, and songwriters. Other alumni write their way to success as architects, CPAs, and real estate agents; virologists, lawyers, and entrepreneurs; activists, policy makers, and elected officials; and more.
Something all Marquette alumni have in common is access to the Ott. We welcome alumni writers for appointments both onsite and online. (If you'd like to come in person, remember to bring your alumni id to join us in 240 Raynor.) We also love to hear from you, whether it鈥檚 to request a workshop, share ideas for writing resources, or simply stay in touch.
We also love to connect with the greater Marquette community. We regularly collaborate with area high schools and organizations--often to help students work on college essays and to help mentor high school writing tutors. If you would like to request such a workshop or are interested in other similar partnerships, we'd love to hear from you at writingcenter@marquette.edu.
And community members are always welcome to schedule a conference to meet with a tutor; if you'd like to meet in person, please email us 24 hours before your appointment so that we can help you enter the Raynor Library building with ease.
